IV Sedation involves the specialty of our employed CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) to administer anesthesia intravenously. IV sedation provides the deepest level of sedation compared to both nitrous oxide and oral sedation. Again, we advise that you have a friend/family member drive you to/from your appointment with the use of IV sedation.
Is Sedation Dentistry right for me? Before any treatment is started, Dr. Sammons and Dr. Laurent will review your medical history to verify that sedation dentistry is appropriate for your dental treatment. While under sedation during your treatment, you will be closely monitored. If you are not a candidate for sedation dentistry, recommendations will be made for alternative treatment.
