Thomas Sammons, DDS
Dr. Thomas Sammons has Youngsville, Louisiana roots and continues to reside in Cajun Country. He and his wife Abbey grew up together attending the same church and are both thankful to be working in the healthcare field in their hometown. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from ULL and graduated summa cum laude. He attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Sammons remains a devoted supporter of his alma mater, ULL, and is a regular at many of the university’s sporting and community events. When not practicing dentistry, you can find him enjoying time with friends and family, participating in early morning swims and workouts, volunteering, or hunting.
Dr. Sammons is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and the Acadiana District Dental Association where he has represented the chapter as a Delegate to the State Board.
“I became a dentist for many reasons but two stand above the rest. My number one reason is to get people out of pain. It is always such a personal reward when I see the relief in patients’ eyes after I have administered anesthesia, numbed the pain, and treated the problem. My number two reason is to make a difference in people’s lives with their smile. It really is amazing how you can affect someone’s self-esteem and quality of life by giving them both a beautiful and functional smile.”

Dr. Sammons and his team are committed to continuing education and exceed the required state post-graduate trainings to excel on all modern aspects of dentistry including: cosmetic straightening, dental implants, anxiety-free sedation, root canal therapies, teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, resin bonded fillings, periodontal therapies, TMD/TMJ treatment, and partials. Dr. Sammons’ calming demeanor will help ease the anxiety many individuals have when seeking dental treatment. He takes great pride in his work to exceed patient expectations.
